A hybrid digital and in-person live theatrical performance of Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard, conceived and adapted by Igor Golyak. Featuring Jessica Hecht and Mikhail Baryshnikov, audiences elect to either experience the production live and in person at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York, or in an interactive, browser-based online journey.

Serving as the production’s Associate Producer for Virtual, I coordinated teams across six design disciplines to create a beautifully rendered, three dimensional world where audiences uncover lost echoes of a past life, including Chekhov's letters, memories, and ultimately the play, live, in progress at the Baryshnikov Arts Center.

Inspired by the 1967 summit of prominent Black athletes who met to question Muhammad Ali about his conscientious objection to military service, this virtual reality project, now available on VR headsets and desktop in VRChat, takes audiences on an interactive journey to answer for themselves: What is the difference between a Hero and a Champion?

As the project’s XR Producer, I led a team of collaborators including playwright Idris Goodwin and director Robert Barry Fleming, through the narrative and technical development of the experience, which will tour through K-12 schools in Kentucky using a mobile VR lab.

From the Actors Theatre of Louisville R&D Lab, came an exploration of old and new media in collaboration with Agile Lens and Heavenue and featuring VR actor Ari Tarr as Ebenezer Scrooge. This virtual reality experience available on Oculus Quest headsets combined a live, Dickensian recital with motion performance capture technology and cloud-based photorealistic graphics to inhabit a haunted dreamscape filled with phantoms, spirits and specters.

With a small but mighty team of artists, technicians and actors, we produced a series of full length performances of the classic story to audiences in their headsets in seventeen different countries, simultaneously.
